Delivery policy

**MALUBEDS DELIVERY POLICY**

**1. Purpose**
This Delivery Policy outlines the terms and conditions for the delivery of beds, mattresses, and related products purchased from MaluBeds.

**2. Delivery Areas**

* MaluBeds delivers within designated regions across South Africa.
* Deliveries outside standard areas may be arranged on request and may incur additional charges.

**3. Delivery Timeframes**

* Standard products: **3–7 business days** from receipt of full payment.
* Custom-made orders: **7–21 business days**, depending on specifications.
* Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to production schedules or unforeseen circumstances.

**4. Delivery Fees**

* Delivery charges are calculated based on distance, order size, and delivery location.
* Customers will be informed of delivery costs at the time of order confirmation.

**5. Order Processing**

* Orders are only processed once the required deposit or full payment has been received and cleared.
* Customers will receive confirmation once the order is ready for dispatch.

**6. Delivery Scheduling**

* Deliveries are scheduled during business hours (Monday–Friday).
* Customers will be contacted in advance to confirm a delivery date and time window.
* It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive the order.

**7. Access and Safety Requirements**

* Customers must ensure safe and reasonable access to the delivery location (e.g., sufficient space, working lifts if applicable).
* Any additional handling requirements (stairs, narrow passages, etc.) must be disclosed in advance.
* Additional fees may apply for difficult access.

**8. Inspection on Delivery**

* Customers are required to inspect all items upon delivery.
* Any damage or discrepancies must be reported immediately and noted on the delivery receipt.

**9. Failed Deliveries**

* If delivery cannot be completed due to customer unavailability or access issues, a re-delivery fee may apply.
* Re-delivery will be scheduled once the issue has been resolved.

**10. Risk and Ownership**

* Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon successful delivery.
* Ownership remains with MaluBeds until full payment has been received.

**11. Delays and Liability**

* MaluBeds is not liable for delays caused by factors beyond its control, including but not limited to weather conditions, strikes, or transport disruptions.
* Customers will be notified promptly of any significant delays.

Refund policy

**MALUBEDS REFUND & RETURNS POLICY**

**1. Purpose**
This policy outlines the terms under which MaluBeds will accept returns, issue refunds, or provide exchanges for beds, mattresses, and related products.

**2. General Policy**

* All refund and return requests must be made in accordance with this policy.
* Proof of purchase (invoice or receipt) is required for all returns and refunds.

**3. Returns Eligibility**
Returns may be accepted under the following conditions:

* The item is defective, damaged, or incorrect upon delivery.
* The return request is made within **7 days** of delivery.
* The product is unused and in its original condition (unless defective).

**4. Non-Returnable Items**
The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

* Custom-made or special-order beds and mattresses (unless defective).
* Products that have been used, soiled, or altered.
* Clearance or sale items (unless defective).

**5. Damaged or Defective Products**

* Any damage or defect must be reported within **24–48 hours** of delivery.
* MaluBeds may arrange for inspection, repair, replacement, or refund depending on the issue.

**6. Refund Process**

* Approved refunds will be processed within **7–14 business days**.
* Refunds will be issued via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
* Delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error by MaluBeds.

**7. Exchanges**

* Exchanges are subject to product availability.
* If the replacement item is of higher value, the customer must pay the difference.
* If lower in value, the difference may be refunded or credited.

**8. Collection of Returns**

* MaluBeds may arrange collection of approved returns.
* Collection fees may apply unless the return is due to a defect or company error.

**9. Cancellations**

* Orders may be cancelled before production or dispatch.
* Custom orders cancelled after production has started are **non-refundable**.
* Approved cancellations may be subject to an administrative fee.

**10. Hygiene Considerations**

* For hygiene reasons, mattresses and bedding products cannot be returned once used, unless defective.

**11. Consumer Rights**

* This policy is subject to applicable consumer protection laws in South Africa.
* Nothing in this policy limits the customer’s legal rights.

MALUBEDS – ADDITIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Warranty Policy

All beds and mattresses carry a limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
Warranty periods vary by product type (e.g., 6 months to 2 years).
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by improper handling or storage.

2. Product Care Guidelines

Customers are responsible for proper use and care of products.
Mattresses should be used with appropriate bases and rotated regularly to maintain durability.
Failure to follow care instructions may void warranties.

3. Custom Orders

Custom specifications (size, fabric, design) must be confirmed in writing before production begins.
Once production starts, no changes can be made.
Custom orders may require longer lead times.

4. Storage Fees

If a customer delays collection or delivery after being notified that the order is ready, storage fees may apply after 7 days.

5. Installation & Assembly

Basic assembly may be included where applicable.
Complex installations or special requests may incur additional charges.
MaluBeds is not responsible for damages caused during customer self-assembly.

6. Risk Disclaimer

While every effort is made to ensure safe delivery, MaluBeds is not liable for damage caused by:
Inadequate access conditions
Customer-provided measurements or incorrect information
Third-party handling after delivery

7. Promotions & Discounts

Promotions are valid only for the specified period and cannot be combined unless stated.
Discounts do not apply to already confirmed orders.

8. Lay-By / Instalment Option (Optional)

MaluBeds may offer lay-by plans:
Minimum deposit: 20%
Payment period: up to 3 months
Goods will only be released once fully paid
Missed payments may result in order cancellation and forfeiture of a portion of payments.

9. Privacy & Customer Information

Customer information is collected solely for order processing and communication.
MaluBeds will not share personal data with third parties without consent, except where required by law.

10. Force Majeure

MaluBeds is not liable for failure or delays caused by events beyond its control, including natural disasters, strikes, supply shortages, or transport disruptions.

11. Policy Updates

MaluBeds reserves the right to update policies at any time without prior notice.
The latest version will always apply to new orders.

12. Governing Law

All transactions are governed by the laws of South Africa, including applicable consumer protection legislation.
